The Newport Pagnell COVID-19 Response Group is an umbrella group of around 60 local Volunteers who are helping the elderly, vulnerable and isolated in Newport Pagnell to get through the current coronavirus emergency.

Operating in clusters on a street-by-street basis across the town, we bring together our Volunteers, the medical centre, pharmacies, the town council, local churches and the Newport Pagnell General Chit Chat Facebook group to help the community during the pandemic.

If you are self-isolating, we can help - for example, collecting and delivering your shopping, a friendly phone call, posting your mail, other urgent requests - all for free!

Our Coordinator Lisa explains what it's all about in this video (26 March).

Please pass the message on and let everyone who might need the service know about it. Although our Volunteers can’t do everything, they will do their very best to help. Coordinators will signpost phone calls and texts to relevant support agencies within our group.

The coronavirus is contagious. We will always avoid physical contact (2m distance) and we will always show you a volunteer card. If you need to verify our official status, please call Newport Pagnell Town Council on 01908 618756.

Find us on Facebook - Newport Pagnell Covid-19 Response Group

We still need Volunteers. If you can help, please get in touch with your Coordinator (details on the flyer your received through your letterbox) in the first instance, or, if necessary email us on npresponse@hotmail.com
